"Any excuse for non-performance, no matter how valid, only weakens the character."
I'm not sure who originally coined this phrase, but I have heard it from my Dad so many times in the past 30 years that I am giving him credit.
So... its been almost a full month since my last post. I am not going to make any excuses. I just didn't feel like writing anything.
... But if I were to make some excuses, they would include:
- I have been sick. So sick. Bronchitis (with a "touch" of pneumonia-- according to the Dr.) and a lingering sinus infection. All of that equals me lying in bed with fevers for over a week. Horrible. Sinus infections suck all energy and motivation from life. Here is a picture of the medicine box that we have been relying on for the past month:
Pathetic.
- My laptop crashed... again. This time I lost about 4 months worth of pictures. What I love about having a blog is that I have posted many of my favorite pictures on here so I can save them again. I am still in the process of re-installing programs like iTunes, and Microsoft Office.
- I started watching a new baby a few days a week. She is 7 months old and she is so easy and fun. I am so blessed with the kids I watch-- they are the best! But on the days in which I have 5 kids-- it is busy. Just the logistical operations of highchairs, car seats, and strollers can boggle the mind.

I am still not sure about the bangs. (Keep in mind that these pictures were taken the day of the haircut so I was still under the influence of the stylist's skills. I am still learning how to manage layers and bangs on my own.)

Cute hair - both of you! You are quite ambitious with 5 kids-whoa!
ZOIE!!! I love the hair! And the glasses!! I've always thought there's nothing cuter than a kid in glasses! And I love your hair too, Kir. You and Lexi look like twins.
Only someone not forced to wear glasses would choose them (detect any bitterness that I don't have a choice? ;). But Zoie looks great. And I like your bangs too!
I have learned there aren't many things worse than being a sick mom. No breaks for the weary! Sorry you have been so sick. I do love your hair but I know what you mean about managing the cut. My new cut is impossible so I have given up and wear it curly almost every day.
By the way, your post about yourself was really funny and I would tell you that I kept saying "me too!" but then that might sound like I'm trying to be a dorky sidekick which I am TOTALLY not, so I will just say that you are totally unique!
Hey, I agree with Zoie. Those are REAL glasses without a prescription--there's nothing fake about them. You and Zoie look adorable. I like the boys' haircuts, too. It's all good. And SOOOOO glad to see you blogging again!
